There are so many needs in India, that it is easy to be overwhelmed. However we consider carefully anything that we take on to ensure we are acting responsibly to support those in need. And

our network of contacts in the village communities helps us identify the most urgent cases.

Some projects benefit individuals and their families. So a mother who has a sewing machine can make clothes and earn money for her family. The life of a disabled man who gets his independence back by using a tricycle is totally changed.

Other projects benefit communities. Our village work enables us to share in, and meet some of the needs of the Dalit community. These are people at the bottom of the social scale, looked down upon by many. In one village we organised the installation of a fresh water pump.
